WHO WE ARE
After more than a decade working in arts education, my wife and I saw a clear and urgent need. Art teachers and artists are passionate, skilled, and dedicated—but they often lack the time, specialized experience, or support to properly maintain the critical equipment that makes their work possible. Kilns, presses, paper cutters, and other studio tools sit at the heart of creative learning and practice, yet keeping them running safely and reliably can feel like an overwhelming extra job.
That’s why we started Artifix.
We founded the business with a simple combination of things we already loved: art itself, a genuine desire to serve the people who make and teach it, and a packed toolbox. What began as hands-on help for a few local classrooms has grown into a focused service dedicated to bridging the gap—providing the knowledge, maintenance, and reliable support that art educators and artists need so they can stay focused on creating and teaching.
At Artifix, we believe great art starts with tools that work. We’re here to keep those tools ready, so the artists and teachers who use them can keep doing what they do best.
MISSION
We exist to revitalize and maintain the tools and skills of old for future generations. Our work focuses on supporting artists and craftspeople through keeping tools critical to their practice in proper order.
A mobile workshop
Heavy or fragile machines can be a burden to move for repairs, inviting new chances for damage to occur. We bring the equipment to you with our mobile shop. We are capable of doing rebuilds, maintenance, and most refurbishing needs with the mobile shop, but if the case arises that pieces need to be removed for machining, we have the equipment to properly remove and transport for peace of mind.
